We help young people access the world’s leading youth achievement award
We’ve teamed up with Glasgow City Council to help young people access the expedition and residential sections of the world leading Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award comes in three standards – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Employers, colleges and universities are just some of the organisations that respect these awards. Gaining an award has transformed the lives of those who have achieved it, no matter at what level!
We offer grants to 14 to 24 year olds to help them achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award. Applicants must live in Glasgow or attend a Glasgow school and be registered for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. You will find the conditions relating to your application here.
Marcus Whyte, our Treasurer commented: “Our aim is to give each young person equal opportunities and not let any barriers stand in their way of reaching their full potential. The benefits of taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme are well documented and it’s an achievement that is universally recognised by employers and further and higher education. We are delighted to join forces with Glasgow City Council to set up this fund.”
